October 2010, “Robert J. Miller”, digital video,
4 minutes. Position: Director, cinematographer, and editor. Staff sergeant
Robert J. Miller, a Wheaton North graduate, was posthumously awarded the Medal
of Honor for his courage’s actions in Afghanistan. I was approached by the
social studies department to create a video in his commemoration. In addition
to the entire student body viewing the video, attendees at the assembly
included keynote speaker Gov. Quinn, other Medal of Honor recipients, and local
state politicians. The video was also shown on WGN News. Received many letters
of thanks regarding my hard work and dedication to the production.

February 2011, “Inspiration”, digital video, 8
minutes. Position: Director, cinematographer, editor. I was asked to create a
video for African American history month about inspiration, determination and
perseverance. Involving African American high school students. I directed,
shot, and edited the video, which was seen by the entire school in a “Black
History Assembly”. The video was
uploaded to the schools website for viewing.

September 2011, “Shirt Design”, graphic design.
Position: lead graphic designer and came up with shirt concept. I was asked to
create a shirt design for the “Super Fan” group at my high school. An
incredibly complex design that took over 10 hours of clicking in order to be
produced. This shirt was mass produced, and worn by the whole student body.

May 2009 & 2010, “Student Handbook Cover”,
graphic design. Position: lead graphic designer and came up with design
concept. Each year there is a school-wide contest to create a design for the
front and back covers of the student planner. During my junior year my design
was selected for the back cover with a cash prize of $50. During my senior year
my design was selected for the front cover with a cash prize of $100.

June 2010, “99 Designs”, graphic design.
Position: free-lance graphic designer. The website “99 Designs” is an online
database where graphic designers post their work for a client. Then the client
reviews all the submissions and picks a winner. I won $500 and my design was
chosen to represent a company’s name.

March 2011, “Spring Play Poster”, graphic design.
Position: Graphic Designer in Wheaton North’s Graphic Design Studio class. A
contest was held in the advanced graphic design class of 30 students to design
the spring play poster. My design was selected, mass-printed and posted around
the school and the city of Wheaton.

December 2010, “English Convention”, graphic
design. Position: Graphic Designer. Wheaton North high school holds a
convention every year that brings English teachers from neighboring schools to
Wheaton. I was approached by an English teacher who had heard of my work. I
photographed students, and designed the cover of the brochure that was used
through the school for the convention.

March 2011, “Photo Show”, photograph portfolio.
Position: Photographer and Graphic Designer. I took first place in the
photography division for a collection of my photographs. I also received a
second place prize for my pieces of graphic design at my schools Art Show.

September 2011, “Super Bass”, digital video, 5
minutes. Position: Director, videographer, editor. Every week after my team
produces a green-screen broadcast delivering the daily announcements we do a
“special” which is either a comedy skit or a music video parody. This time we
did a parody to the song “Superbass” by Niki Minaj. It consisted of Wheaton
north students singing re-written lyrics based on our school and dancing with
teachers.

October 2011, “Blue & Yellow”, digital
video, 5 minutes. Position: Director, videographer, editor. Another music video
parody put on by my video production team and I. It featured Wheaton North
seniors and teachers singing re-written lyrics to the famous song “Black &
Yellow”.

March 2011, “Break Right Now”, digital video, 4
minutes. Position: Director, videographer, editor. Yet another music video
parody put on by my team and I, this one was a spring-break special to the hit
song “Airplanes”. It was a huge hit and was put on the schools website for
everyone to see.
